The best thing happend to me. This update. One person on the reddit said they spent alot of time simming. Now i love simming. i used to do it for sports games and i would manage the players. but i could play a game anytime i wanted. It hit me.. wow. We play only for 5 games a day. which last about 20 minutes max. we grind and grind. yes galactic war to me hasnt been fun anymore. dont know why exactly. I always clear it but it feels like im being abused and cant use whatever characters i want. Galactic war should have been a place for us to put in anyone we wanted and enjoyed them. Back to the grind. I realized we sim everything. even the so called "challenges". and grind galactic war all for what... the main event the Arena. We put in our best 5 and enjoy every moment of it. SO we grind for hours a day for 20 minutes of play? maybe i should back off and just put in whoever and relax... Basically thank you for this update. I now realize i was grinding for no reason. i should have just enjoyed a bunch of 4 star characters. and relaxed. Since the beginning I stated that the shard situation was pointless. and the gear is nominal. I imagined that this would be a game where i would unlock a character in star wars. then put 5 on a team then go play against my buddy... Watch sith lightning or lightsabers clash. Big bombs go off. Then i realized all my friends were leaving.. And that was why they werent going to grind. they wanted to play a game. worst thing is i may never get the chance to play vs my friends. or on a latter of some sort.. its unfortunate.. Maybe all we really expected was to play a game not grind a sim button. Its like a mini casino. in star wars?? i dont think thats Cannon. EDit: on the non cannon part we have a bug from geonosis that can destroy Mace windu... Im my recolection of the movie. a whole planet of bugs didnt kill mace windu... They were scared mace would be over powered if we coul pick which enemy got the red over head. but they simply didnt finish making the game. speed wins all the time. they are talking about fixing that. the devs are nice people and im sure the people who spend alot of money will benefit them a lot during this patch. but its kind of disheartening. I have been playing since launch and after i win in the casino of shards. i still have tons of characters at max shards but i cant afford to level them up never mind max gear them. the game is not balanced for credits. so half of my characters are not level 70 because of credits and 5 are max shards but i cant take them to level 7 due to lack of credits. In Closing. I'm very thankful for this update.. It unlocked my chains. When we started we thought we could use all these characters. half of them on the front wall paper arent even playable yet. then they told us to level them up.. the ones we had. we did... then we realized oh... thats all this game is... level stuff up.... where is the content.. Darth Vader is not viable for a long time. we have release new characters. a no name teddy bear, a no name trooper, a no name tusken. and finally a clone... Whoops.. maybe we should have worked on a pvp game where people would actually play the game instead of hitting a sim button.
How about adding some classic star wars casino games directly from the movies and games to swgoh: Pazaak, Sabacc, and Dejarik. These could be live pvp games with rewards for winning (or not I don't really care). In the case of Pazaak and Dejarik at least there are cards and characters to collect. Maybe even have different characters act as the player and they add different bonuses to their game play - for instance young lando could play an extra card he keeps up his sleeve in sabacc. Most of all this would give us long time players something to do for more than 20 minutes a day. I think this would be fun, different content that would add quite a bit to the game.
