For gamers behind the times

A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 6 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.

I've recently talked with a bunch of my friends, they convinced me to get a PC so I can play a bunch of different games with them, but I've never built one before, so I've come to ask for help on what would be the best PC build for gaming within my budget

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
Extra info or particulars:

Finally joined Xbox! After more than 20 years of gaming on PS and PC, I finally purchased my first Xbox. And guess what? I'm loving it, from the presentation, to the manufacturing quality, to the performance and especially Game Pass. Looking forward to playing everywhere this gen!

Given up hope of owning my own home in NZ, so **** it might as well do something with my savings and bought a PS5 and built a new PC. Should I upgrade my old PS4 1080p tv to a $4k OLED, or get a VR headset to play flying games on the PC? If the latter what's good and available here?

I can’t take it anymore. I’ve never games on PC and I don’t know what I need, so can someone please link me or point me in the right direct of a PC I can buy that will run Paragon as well as it did on the PS4? I need to play it.

Thanks for reading. I don’t know anything about building a PC and am just curious how much a Paragon-clone machine will set me back. I need the computer for nothing else. Thanks for any and al feedback.

although the pc mods are very cool, i got skater xl so i could have a game to simulate what i can’t do irl bc of weather. i’ve learned so many tricks just by playing xl on ps4 and i made edits daily with no problems. no game is perfect but i love skateboarding either way

Too cool to play this game again on PC. Sometimes I imagine myself being aboard Sanctuary, chatting with Claptrap, having a drink at Moxxi's bar and ending the evening in my quarters reading books borrowed from Hammerlock. What would you most like to do if you were there?

What do I upgrade on my PC to play some mid-tier games at 1080p (but higher framerate)?

Hello everyone,
I am relatively new at PC gaming (as I play most of my games on consoles) but I would like to be able to play some more games on my PC (without fully falling down the rabbit hole of online-competitive FPS games at 4K and all that.) I was wondering if it would be feasable to upgrade some of the components of my 6-year old PC? It is certainly nothing crazy (it never was) but I am not looking to play the most "bleeding edge" games wither. I basically just want to be able to play games like Metro: Exodus, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, X-Com 2, etc (games that I did not think worked well on consoles.) My monitor is not 4K and I really only care about getting a nice, smooth framerate at 1080p. I know the first thing to look into upgrading would probably be my outdated graphics card? But I am not sure how to go about telling what I could add into my PC and if I would need to get extra fans or a new power supply (I am VERY new to all of this.) My birthday is coming up so I was thinking of making a list of a few things I could use the most - I just have no idea what I am doing.

Model/Manufacturer: ASUS Desktop PC M32CD_A_F_K20CD_K31CD Series
Motherboard: ASUSTeK M32CD
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz , 3408 Mhz , 4 Cores , 8 Logical Processors
Graphics Card: "GPU 1" AMD Radeon R9 370 2gb , "GPU 0" Intel HD Graphics 530
RAM: 16.0 GB DDR3
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
PHOTO OF PSU
PHOTO OF GPU

If anyone could help me out at all I would be extremely thankful! :)
Please let me know if I need to post any other specs.

There are currently 6 platforms to play games on: PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, iOS, and Android. If a 7th platform were to become mainstream, what would it be?

New to PC and could use an opinion on what game to play from my list

I am looking for a good game that is beginner friendly with keyboard and mouse. I'd also like something with a good story, good gameplay, and good graphics. So far games I've enjoyed playing are Portal 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Black Mesa.
Which one should I play next?

Gamers, what old game (2000s or earlier) do you really want to play but do not have any easy way to access, whether it be you don't have the console, not on a emulator, not ported to PC, etc?

What is this? Drained the loop to check on the ddc pump that was acting up. Put it all back including the fluid, played some games and a few hours later the inside of the reservoir, gpu and cpu blocks looked grimey...Coolant is about 5 months old. Pc only used for about 3-5 hours daily.
